Here we are at day 7 and we have made to Port Ballintrae. Ruth was gracious enough to drive me to the Chiropractor again just to be sure I would be good for the rest of the trip. Once corrected, we visited with Ruth and John’s Son Tim, his wife Susie and their children Lily and Jonah. Ruth and Claire mapped out a spectacular scenic drive along the coast in order to get to the cottage. The roads were very narrow, steep and curvy but it was great fun for me as the driver and the passengers. Liam wasn’t quite sure about some of the blind hills however Claire could not contain her delight and went wee over every one. Owen stepped out to take several pictures during the journey and was watched by a stalker sheep. We passed the Giants Causeway and the Carrick-a-Rede Bridge which we will take in while we are up here if Liam and I dare. We arrived at the cottage around the same time as Ruth and entered the 18th century building. The building was a barracks for the coast guard back in the 1800’s which was converted in to cottages in the 70’s. Ruth generously bought dinner at the local Hotel for us, her brother David and her husband Shelagh as well as her son Collin his wife Joanna and their children Sam and Emily. We visited a short time with Ruth’s son and his family and then they were on their way. The boys went to the beach but got caught in the rain and returned soaking wet. We will have to run over to the Hotel in order to send the Blogs in the next few days so we will see how it goes. “Cheers”
