Well here we are on our first full day in Ireland. Ted, Michael and Christopher would be proud, we started the day off right with a full Irish breakfast at our hotel. The boys even tried the blood pudding and at least they liked the white stuff. We purchased a hop on hop off bus ticket and headed downtown. As luck would have it we arrived just in time for a guide walking tour of the town. It was very entertaining and informative. After the walk we were thirsty so we started walking in Temple Bar and found a pub recommended by our taxi driver. We had a pint and It was all Claire could do not to break out in to a jig as there was an Irish band playing inn the pub. After the tour our first stop was Christ Church, after looking through the whole place, the crypt was definitely the cool part of the church, did you know the building was first established by the vikings? We carried on to Dublina and checked out the museum dedicated to medieval and viking history. We hopped on a bus and visited St. Patricks Cathedral where we saw several monuments dedicated to the Irish regiment and to a few Kings even (the surname that is). We were all very impressed with the size of the building and the amazing stone work for its age. Liam led us on a wild goose chase to find the last of the wall that surrounded Dublin at one time. We wandered down to the keys and crossed the ha' penny bridge when it started to rain (suprise) so we headed towards the Oconnell Street monument where Claire spyed a pub called Messrs Maguires where we had a lovely irish pub meal and a few pints. Cheers that's all for today, check in tomorrow for the rest of our Irish adventure.
