Day 11

Here we are day 11, and Owen and Liam got to sleep in because the plumber came to fix the shower! When Owen woke up we all enjoyed a mug of cocoa because we all new Liam wouldn’t be getting up anytime soon. For breakfast we had another good Irish breakfast (without the pudding). The plumber arrived and told us he needs special parts and would return the next morning.  After he left the boys went out for a drive as Claire decided to stay back and do some vacuuming. We left planning on going to Portrush to visit a water park but when we arrived Liam decided he didn’t want to go, so we continued to Portstewart. We drove along the guidance of Owen stopping at a beach named after its “White Rocks”. We continued through Portstewart for the pleasure of driving on Portstewarts strand (where can you do that in Canada) we ripped down the beach topping at 90 km/h before we had to slow down and for Dads enjoyment we did a reverse donut! Which the boys found fun to. We headed back home but decided to take a more adventurous route towards Ballymoney.  As we drove into town we were surprise at the fact that we couldn’t find it on the map because the town was fairly large (we were following signs at this point) and as we drove into town center we heard Liam shout “FOUND IT!” We didn’t see it as mom had folded the map over. Liam navigated our way back. He used the map mom gave us to pick a route back to Bushmills were we stopped to grab a pint… well at least Dad did. Then we returned home to enjoy a delicious Madras Curry and our first sunset in Portballintrae. Cheers till next time!
